Silver sharers – the rise in home shares over 50
The One Show on BBC1 are looking for mature house sharers to talk to about their lifestyle. Can you help?
There’s currently an upward trend in people aged 50 and over opting to rent through a home share – both house and flat – whether as the landlord or tenant.
Boom, a TV production company who produce films for BBC One’s The One Show, are creating a piece exploring this trend, which involves speaking to real life people currently in this situation.
Whether you’re currently living in a type of home share, or you’re looking to do so, Boom would love to speak you.
Daniel Jones, assistant producer at The One Show, said: “We are looking to interview anyone aged 50 or over that are currently living as part of a house share. They may be the landlord of the property, or they may be a tenant renting a room in a shared house/flat.
“Either way, we would love to speak to as many people as possible that would like to feature in the film and share their experiences of renting/house/flat sharing in later life.”
Is this you? Would you like to feature on in the film and share your experiences?
